Report: United ended there winless run of 8 Games with a fought out win against lowly Peterborough, Henri Camara's first half strike, on his first start for his new club, deciding the tie. Kevin Blackwell making 4 changes after the Quality performance against Barnsley 2 weeks Prior. Camara and Williamson making their Home Debuts, Morgan reinstated to the line up as Bunn takes the role between the sticks for the injured Bennett, Henderson being Suspended, Treacy being Dropped to the bench and
First Half:
United Uncharacteristically huddled together just before kick off and start the game really well. Camara, Ward and Williamson showing some real quality early on while carving out chances. Walker testing the referee's resolve with a Penalty appeal after going down easily under a Griffiths Challenge, Hedley standing strong and, in truth, should have booked the United Right back for diving.
Peterborough responding rapidly with Boyd. The Lively Striker robbing Harper and Shooting wide, Another Peterboro attack moments later ending much the same way.
United was Dominant in first half most notable on 25. Quinn's strike from a free kick deflected wide. Ward Delivered to Evans who struck a Bullet shot onto the underside of the cross-bar, The ball ricocheting off the line and clear of the visitors goal. United sensing a scalp piled forward, adopting a more attacking 3-5-2, Walker assisting, a still largely unfit, Jamie Ward down the right. However, a mistake by Walker allowed Peterborough's next chance. Boyd robbing Walker and threading a great through-ball to Mackail-Smith, who ran clear of Morgan, Kilgallon getting back and making the tackle before he could pull the trigger. Mclean wriggled clear of Williamson moments later, after Walker was caught in possession by Boyd, but Morgan did enough to put the Young midfielder off and the Shot flew wide.
At the other end, Great work from Williamson, Quinn, Camara and Evans tested The Peterborough Stopper, Lewis. The opening Goal following just after on 42. Walker and Ward combined well, Walker running clear to the byline and sending a great cross into the box. Evans reacting first, Lewis parrying into he path of CAMARA, who made no mistake from close range

United continued in the ascendency, Camara having another effort blocked by the Woefull Bennett and Lewis getting a hand to another. The half ended with United still dominant, A corner from Ward finding Morgan who flicked onto Davies. Davies sending his Header agonisingly Wide of the left hand upright.

Second Half:
Peterborough came out the second half on a mission, in stark contrast to United's Lowly Performance. United started the brighter, carving out a good effort from the off. Walker finding Williamson, Williamson sending Ward on a run who in turn found Evans, Evans lifting the ball over the 6 yard box, but Camara over from close range, Lewis had the effort covered tho. Peterborough dominated from here. McLean, Mackail-Smith and Boyd Again giving the United Midfield a fottballing lesson, Kevin Blackwells men easily torn apart without reply.
A rare Kilgallon mistake led to the Visitors first Effort, Another deflected Shot by McLean saved comfortably by Bunn. Mackail-Smith was the next to test the Blades Defense, but Morgan did well to hold him off for Bunn to Gather well. Mackail-Smith again going close from a corner. Heading just wide from a Griffiths centre.
Peterborough continued in the ascendency and should have scored when awarded a penalty on 67. McLean made a great run down the right and found Mackail-Smith in acres of space, but Davies got back to challenge before he was able to Shoot, but took the Player. The Referee, following the action closely, thought and rightfully pointed to the spot. Boyd stepped up, but sent a tame Left footed effort towards Bunn. The United Keeper making easy work to Parry, Walker reacting quickest to clear
The United faithful grew increasingly nervous, as Peterborough continued to dominate proceedings. Treacy being introduced for Camara who was tiring and supporting a Groin Strain on his way off the field (69) Treacy steming the Visitors tide for a time. The game went flat with nervous mistakes made by both sides, but the Blades Fans were dismayed when United reverted to their Tried and failed tactics of Direct over the top attacking play. France replacing Williamson to a ring of Boo's coming out of the Kop (81)
And after 85, with the introduction of Reid for Ward, United began to press forward to keep out the Posh. However it was the Posh to make the next attack, Boyd connecting with Batt's low cross, Bunn making easy work of the effort. United went directly up the other end and Harper tested Lewis, Lewis seeing it over the bar.
The referee then turned down a Penalty appeal from United, when Treacy easily looking for it, tried threading between 2 Posh defenders (Lee and Frecklington), and going over unchallenged. The Posh finished off the game with an effort from Batt, Bunn slipped but recovered well to secure the points for he Home side.
