First Half:

A new Formation and Line-up surprised the Home support when the Faltering Blades took to the field, Kevin Blackwell adopting a 3-5-2 Formation [bigok]
Newcastle won the toss and decided to swap ends before a rapturous 1 minute Applause in celebration of the Life of Keith Kettleborough [bighand]

United started the game the Brightest, Henderson Firing wide from a tight angle after good vision from Evans. Newcastle happy to lap up the pressure in the first half as United dominated. Treacy in his new role being instrumental in all of United's attacks. Harper using his Experience, spraying the ball everywhere. Quinn however, a clear Weak link in the United Armoury. United, in truth, were the makers of there own downfall, as when the ball was pumped long, the Wing men struggled to take hold of the ball and supply the killer crosses. However in a change of tactics and report, United did play some very good football when the ball was on the floor, Stewart and Harper dominated the midfield exchanges and created chance after chance for Henderson, Guilty of some poor finishing and Treacy who continually ballooned his shots, as Evans, instrumental in attack, kept each attack alive, fighting off the Geordie's Centre Backs with power and pace.
