The Blades played Blackpool at boothferry Park with 1000 Blades Fans who paid between £25-28 to sit there and get Piss wet thru on a Very Cold Evening (again) on a temporary stand. Credit really has got to go to those fans that went.
4 changes were made after the embarrassment, that was Scunthorpe, last Saturday. Lively Little, Example Evans, Detrimented Davies and Stuttering Stewart making way for Fair France, (In-)consistent Cotterill, Tinker Taylor and Creditable Cresswell. As you can see, even Cresswell, broken ribs and all, made a brave first half against a side who still hasn't lost at home. I'll give Cresswell credit for playing thru the pain barrier
yeah right, and i'm Pee-wee Herman The side that went out to play football tonight were taught a Team lesson that was caused by someone who is clearly weak and isn't in control any longer. A lesson that he stubbornly refuses to believe.
Yes, Mr Blackwell, you have been shown up by YOUR own side to be a prize TWAT and come Saturday evening, the wrath of 25000 fans will surely seal your fate! However, this is a match report so onwards we go.
First half, we were equal to the advances of the tangerines, who had been humbled the season before by us, but they were gaining in confidence, you did nothing except jump up and down on the touch line like a jack rabbit on speed shouting stupid comments like........... what you doing, get it forward
Finally after 46 minutes, the referee took pity on us and blew his whistle for a well earned break
HT 0-0
Second Half:
Holloway made 2 substitutions and United did Feck all. Again like a magicians wand, Kevin Blackwell demotivated the side like only he could do. The passion in the side had gone and we were made to pay, not long after the break, we were 1-0 down
, no big deal, well worked goal from set peice, not much many could have done about it, except Henderson, who was marking the goal scorer Oooh, the class that came out of the home side after that was Immense, wave after wave of attacks, United were sitting ducks just waiting for another hit. It didn't take long. Another smash and grab, only this sparked a reaction from the All Mighty one, on came Evans for a very Formidible France and Treacy for lets be honest Crocked Cresswell.
Nothing happened for United, nothing at all. It was only when Crippled (or he played like it) Cotterill went off for Wishful Williamson, the home fans were in hysterics! Another goal, it had turned into a one way traffic ROUT! 3-0 on 82 and the Blades were dead and buried.
at Full time however, it was the turn of the fans. Some players biting to the fans fury with-drew common sense and decided to try and justify a really poor performance, to the fans fury
so all in all, we got heavily beaten, even the manager couldn't save face when asked what's happening with the side
sorry, if he's not gone tomorrow, Saturday will be a Massacre and that won't be by the Welsh players!!!!
