It's nearly KO time again fellas
Following on the theme below, I had a look at the table and agree with Lings in terms of I think we could finish top half.
Judging by last season and their pre-season so far, I think Ipswich will self destruct this year and will end up being the "big club" that goes down to League One. Certainly the locals round here have no aspirations for them and a lot of fear. Can't see Macarthy lasting until Christmas unless they become a surprise package.
Millwall will be out of their depth and I think Bolton will struggle.
I think the pigs are going to find it harder this year and will finish well outside the play offs - unless they surprise us and make some good last minute signings (as well as finding a kit from the lost property box).
I think Boro will walk the league and Cardiff, Fulham and maybe Derby will be the "surprise" teams pushing for a top two finish.
I think Burton will struggle. The Dingles will collapse and Sunderland will be another that self implodes and ends up in a relegation battle.
So I think we'll be in a mid-table battle with Leeds, Norwich, Hull, Birmingham, Brentford, Forest, QPR and Reading.
For me the key is our defence. We kept the ball so much last season we were rarely given a stern test. We certainly have the talent at the back, but our style of play - with the full backs pushing on, does allow for the opposition to get in behind the three CBs, if they're quick and skilful enough - which I'm assuming they will be in the Championship.
Whatever happens, I think we're going to surprise a few this season and I hope that includes giving the deluded massive from S6 a spanking, home and away.
For us, it will depend on
