Sorry Bolts, as far as I'm concerned even Manchester's a Lanc town. Otherwise, Lancashire Cricket needs a new home or they need to call themselves Greater Manchester County Cricket Club.

If it makes it more accurate for you though, let's call it "where a small tinpot Greater Manchester club really belongs" because "a small town near Manchester" is actually more insulting, so I like it.

Nobody likes Greater Manchester, and now we have the elected mayor the small towns are getting fcuk all from him. Funnily enough, a lot of people say when asked where they live - Bolton, which is just north of Manchester, as no bastard has ever heard of Bolton.

We will have to change the name of the mighty YCCC to South & West Yorkshire CCC. We will have to stop playing matches in Middlesborough as that is in Tees Side.

He'll be very lucky to last till Xmas if things carry on like they have.....end of Oct is my bet.

He will last longer than that.

They have no money to sack him and pay off his contract. Would any manager worth his salt move to a crap team with no money to spend on players, a transfer embargo in place, and a salary cap of £2,000 a week they can pay anyone coming in on loan.

Hilarious. Especially the guy who says they're way above us because they spent 12 consecutive years in the PL! Yes mate, and you ran up £160m of debt that you had no hope of servicing, and that's why you almost went out of business and why you're heading back to L1 where a small tinpot Lanc town club truly belongs! 14,000 crowds at Championship level? Really? See ya!

I love how they hate us. It gives me a warm glow inside because they're still punching above their weight but couldn't beat a side that's only spent £1m since promotion from L1!

Bunch of deluded arseholes with a bunch of cloggers for a team and a manager whose tactics are older than Bassett's. It's not our fault they're so shit but they would love it to be  ;D

Have to correct you my friend. Bolton is in Greater Manchester, and not Lancashire, unfortunately.

Just picking out some of the comments in the Bolton News.

What an absolutely terrible excuse for a referee he was totally appalling from start to finish hope gets mugged on the way home. Another negative from tonight was the disgraceful tactics of the sheffield united players if you can only win games by playing dirty nasty cheating football then there is something wrong with you. On our teams performance i would say it was improved, we conceded the goal but didnt sit around sulking we pulled ourselves together showed some fight and spirit had some good passages of play and some chances we kept going right till the end and should have had at least a point.

Well who'd a thowt it another defeat, feck off Parkinson you are so far out of your depth we'll need to send for oxygen, clueless doesn't come close to describe your abilities.

    Stuart Attwell - 2

What a twat. No wonder he has this reputation as being a terrible referee.

Interesting 2 reviews of the match. I sent a few texts put to Bolton supporters I know, and I got one back from a regular attendee at the Reebok. He is mid 50's, ex captain at the golf club. In fact he was with me at the Bath Hotel before the wanderers game last season. I will continue the conversation today.

I said 'Thanks for the 3 points. Sounded close, but we probably deserved it'

'You were absolutely brutal and deserved nothing, but we can't create anything up front. Mr. Atwell 1 Bolton 0.'

I replied 'Atwell hates us as well'

Not tonight, he's in the shower with your thugs. His arse will be the same colour as the card he was afraid to use on at least 2 occassions'

Blackman, Baldock, Fleck, O’Connell, Clarke, Sharp, Wright, Coutts, Carter-Vickers, Duffy, Lafferty.
Subs: Stevens, Basham, Lundstram, Freeman, Eastwood, Evans, Brooks.

Not sure why Freeman is dropped, unless for tactical reasons? Apparantly Bash has a slight injury, so why put him on the bench?

What's happened to CW? He seems to have decided he's going to ruffle feathers and say what he thinks about a variety of topics.  He's upset the agents and those in the FA (allegedly) creaming off the back handers, pissed off Sinclair and others for having no spine or ambition and now he's upset our rivals by predicting their financial implosions.

It's like having our very own football equivalent of Victor Meldrew.

Love it! Keep it up CW.  :ok:

They always say that the truth hurts.....

Fantastic read and shows exactly what they went through yesterday and just how close we were to signing Cole!!!

Thanks for that Vamps, a wonderful read.

Does highlight the power that agents have, unfortunately for us on this occasion.

Domingos Quina, 17-year-old midfielder from West Ham ???

Deal not happening, called off.

Reading between the lines, WHU wanted him to play games regularly. CW won't have any of that crap.

I hope there is no truth or substance in this one.

A post match report from a deranged Ram supporter.

Heard that myself Bolts. PL experience, fast, black, ticks boxes  :ok:

But doesn't score a great deal from his stats. I know that they aren't the be all and end all, but they do provide a guide. He only played 17 times in all competitions.

I remember when we signed TC from Watford, and everyone said who the fuck is he. Maybe things can happen twice.

He was on loan at Birmingham from January, but only played 5 times. He only played 17 times in all competitions.

Yeah congrats to Harry - he was immense on Tuesday night.

CW saying he's confident one new signing for tomorrow, MAYBE 2.

Is this one of them?

That one started yesterday on the back of an unofficial Spurs Twitter account. Not sure if it's true or not but he's a big unit.  He's either the next Ledley King or the next Nyron Nosworthy depending on which Spurs fan you listen to.

Personally I think this is more smoke and mirrors with Lenihan still being the main target!

He has signed on a season long loan.
