I agree, but I would like to see him play out on the left. I am not convinced that the right wing is his best position.

Bassett was long gone when Fjortoft and Saunders arrived mate, Harry left in '95 and those two signed in '97

I'm hopeless when trying to remember when players / managers came and went. Suppose not going to BL regualarly after 1994 doesn't help.

Match @ Villa also moved to 17:30 for SKY coverage.

Happy Birthday Vamps. :DB :DB

I think we were stunned by the early, unfortunate goal. We had to chase the game, and we just couldn't create enough chances from our 61% possession (BBC).

I'm not too despondant about being third, although still being top would have been better. I think we all agree that we are in a better place than anyone had dreamt about.

Sorry about Thornbridge Lings. Carling is on offer in Morrisons :ok: :ok:

I kid you not Bolts, someone in The Tap yesterday asked the girl "which of these Pilsners tastes most like Stella?" What is the world coming to?

To be fair to them Lings, there is so much choice available these days, and these young snowflakes have no idea. When we were growing up there was very little choice. Probably 90% of people in the pub drank beer.

Have to agree with Lings. I thought we going to lose it in the second half. Not the best performance, but another 3 points, happy days.

Nice to see Brooks score. Hope it is the catalyst for many more.

I don't think a lot of players in the PL, especially foreign ones, would welcome CW. He would make them train hard, play hard and fight. it's not in their make-up I'm afraid.

Actually it would be a big help if we could do the Tap after all. My daughter and grand-daughter are here from LA and they're off to London for a couple of nights before flying home. They're going down on the train on Saturday at 2:20 so that gives me a chance to nip out of the Tap, say goodbye and get back in just in time for the last 'un  ;D ;D ;D

No worries - Tap it is. Seton joining us. We’re meeting at 12:30, but guess you’ll be after 1 so you can wash your hair!!

Each one individually :DD :DD

Nice one Roma :ok: :ok:

I don't watch England either. Most of the players don't even want to be there, they don't sing the national anthem, and don't care that the fans have paid a lot of money to watch them.

I watch SKY on the red button. I can then swap between matches depending on what is happening.

When I saw the team I was a little shocked to see Clarke & Brooks had been dropped. Clarke has been on fire, 4 goals in 2 games, so why drop him? Brooks has been getting rave reviews, so let him continue.

Donaldson didn't get a mention in the first 20 mins, and wasn't at all worth his place on the pitch.

Coutts need to stop getting silly bookings, he misses the Ipswich game, and Fleck is only 1 away from a ban.

I thought we had enough chances to win, but the finishing was not as clinical as it should be.

Still, 21 points from 11 games is a far better return than i thought we would have had.

It's very true what he says, although it is a bit over the top.

Hahahahaha - turns out I DO have a social media account (bookface) that I set up and did feck all with about 5 years ago. Here's the photo from the most recent post (scroll across for the full rogues gallery):

The views below mirror what it sounded like on iFollow, very frustrating. 17 shots, with 4 on target is piss poor. When I saw the team I was worried about the lack of strikers.

I haven't read anything about Clarke missing for personal reasons, only ones that said he was injured. Was the Billy injury known about?

As a thought, could Basham have been an option up front? How about Jordon Hallam, think that's the name, who is scoring goals for the reserves?

How did Brooks play? Kevin Gage was drooling about his performance on iFollow
